     BERKOWICZ, THE WILDCAT (serial chipmunk killer) :

      . . .  adopted us in November 2009



The powerful and muscular BERKOWICZ lived on the roof for months, eating chipmunks, baby birds and squirrels. Having enough of the backyard carnage, and now sporting huge, oozing wounds on his neck from a street fight with a raccoon, we took him to the vet for big $$$, nursed him back to health, and then officially took him into the 'family' where he became an incredibly smushy lap cat.

Now well-fed and well cared-for but still free to have the run of the neighborhood, Berkowicz goes outside and kills chipmunks and baby birds just for sport, often proudly leaving the bloody remains at the back step as a goodwill offering and a gesture of gratitude for saving his life . . . ??  =^..^=
